UP WITH IDEAS FOR
BETTER VISION SINCE 1882
1882 – it was the year in which the South African astronomer William Henry Finlay discovered the great September comet, the premiere of Richard Wagner´s Parsifal took place in the Festspielhaus in Bayreuth and the first international art exhibition was held in Vienna´s Künstlerhaus. It was also the year in which Johann Binder opened his shop in Vienna with great commitment and innovative optical ideas.
With the production of the then very popular pince-nez and self-designed spectacle frames, he laid the foundations
for today´s OPTIKHAUS BINDER.
